Department Details

Health and Counselling Services (HCS) offers a combination of medical care and mental health services, as well as education focused health promotion. HCS medical professionals include family physicians and experienced nurses who provide specialized services, in addition to basic medical needs and walk-in emergency services. Our counsellors are all masters-level psychotherapists or social workers who are registered with their respective colleges and have diverse areas of expertise. HCS offer short term individual counselling for students struggling with many different problems like anxiety, depression, relationship problems, sexual violence, racism, or personal and academic stress. HCS also have counsellors located in residence during the fall and winter terms. All health records are confidential.

Students can access, medical and counselling appointments as well as urgent same day appointments between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Monday to Friday, by calling 613-520-6674. You will be triaged by telephone for COVID-19 symptoms and to determine the safest way to provide you care. A limited number of same-day counselling spots are available.
