Apply for an International Internship: Virtual and In-Person Options Available

This news post is more than one year old and has been retained for archive purposes. The information below may no longer be relevant.

The International Internship Program is currently accepting applications for undergraduate students who are interested in participating in an international internship experience! Past participants have interned in places such as England, Italy, Australia, Ireland, Colombia and more.

For students who are building their resume or actively seeking employment, an international internship offers a unique opportunity to gain degree-related work experience, develop international connections in your field of interest and earn academic credit. You can work abroad by participating in a summer 2024 in-person internship (third year standing and higher at the start of the internship), or work remotely through virtual internships (second year standing and higher at the start of the internship), which are offered in both the winter and summer of 2024.

Internships have a range of flexible start dates and vary in length. The International Internship Program Bursary is available to offset costs associated with participating.

If you’re interested in applying for an international internship, learn more about eligibility criteria, the application process and bursaries by visiting the International Internship Program website today! Applying is the first step to taking part in an internship. Once you apply, you will be invited to a group call with the Internship team where you will get the logistical, academic and financial details about internships to see if this program is a good fit for you.

If you have questions, please email the International Internship Program at international.internships@carleton.ca.
