Freezing Rain Warning on Wednesday, March 22 Ended

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Ottawa due to freezing rain expected the evening of Wednesday, March 22 into Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Snow mixed with freezing rain will begin the evening of Wednesday, March 22 before transitioning to periods of freezing rain by early morning Thursday, March 23, 2023. Freezing rain will then transition to rain late Thursday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.

The university remains open today. Operations will run as scheduled.

Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
