When: Tuesday, April 1st, 2025
Time: 10:00 am — 1:00 pm
Location: Richcraft Hall

The sixth annual Kinàmàgawin Symposium, hosted by the Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement, is taking place on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The symposium features keynote presentations, panel discussions and cultural performances, all focused on this year’s theme: Indigenization: how to use design thinking with Indigenous community to find our truth for systems disruption, innovation, imagination and course correction in an effort to reconcile.

The Kinàmàgawin Symposium addresses timely topics—chosen by Indigenous students—relevant to Indigenous peoples, empowering students, staff and faculty at Carleton to further their knowledge and become a positive force for change.

The name Kinàmàgawin, which means Learning Together, is shared by the Kinàmàgawin report published by the Carleton University Strategic Indigenous Initiatives Committee in 2020. The Kinàmàgawin Progress Report [PDF 4.9 MB] was released in 2022.
