Environment Canada has ended the severe thunderstorm watch for Ottawa. There are currently no weather alerts in effect.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Ottawa on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches. Stay indoors when a thunderstorm strikes. There isn’t a place outside that is safe during a thunderstorm.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.
The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.
Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
