Environment Canada has ended the snowfall warning for Ottawa. There are currently no weather warnings in effect.
Update #2: Friday, February 28, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Ottawa for significant snowfall expected later on Friday, February 28, 2025 into the morning of Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Total snowfall accumulations near 15 cm and reduced visibility in heavy snow are expected. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.
The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.
Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
Update #1: Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for Ottawa for snow beginning the morning of Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected. Light snow is forecast to intensify later this morning as bands of heavy snow move into the area. Visibility will be significantly reduced at times under these snow bands. The snow is expected to taper to flurries by this evening. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.
