Update #1: Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for Ottawa for snow beginning the morning of Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Total snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are expected, along with reduced visibility in snow. Freezing drizzle beginning this afternoon is possible. Drivers should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.
The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.
Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
