Deadline to Apply to the Fall Job Shadow Program (FASS and FPGA) – Tuesday, October 15, 2024
The Job Shadow Program is a unique opportunity for career exploration that allows you to learn about careers of interest to you by visiting a professional (a job shadow mentor) at their job for a 60 to 90 minute session. The Job Shadow Program is offered either virtually or in person based on a mutual agreement between mentor and student. Job shadowing will help you make connections between classroom learning and real-world work requirements, and gain a better understanding of the knowledge, skills and education you may need to follow your career interests. The Fall Job Shadow Program is open to third and fourth year students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Global and Public Affairs.

Global Opportunities Fair – Tuesday, October 29, 2024, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Are you interested in travelling as part of your university experience? The Global Opportunities Fair offers you a chance to learn more about your options for international experiences and services at Carleton. There will be staff on hand from a range of organizations and departments who will highlight their services, programs, processes and experiences and how they can benefit you as a student. These include the Alternative Spring Break Program, Exchange Program, International Internship Program and more.
Deadline to Apply to the International Internship Program – Monday, November 25, 2024
An international internship is a unique opportunity to work internationally for academic credit while gaining real-world work experience, developing contacts in your field and building your resume. Virtual internships are available for winter and summer 2025 and are open to undergraduate students with second-year standing and higher at the time of the internship. In-person internships are available for summer 2025 and open to undergraduate students with third-year standing or higher at the time of the internship. Internships start at six weeks in length and can be customized to fit your course schedule with a range of flexible start dates. Applying is the first step to taking part in an internship. Once you apply, you will be provided with the logistical, academic and financial details about internships to see if this program is a good fit for you.
