If you are lucky enough to score some tickets to the game or want to celebrate and show some spirit with friends, here are some tips to help you have a safe and fun pre- and post-game experience!

Make a Game Plan

Plan out what you want the day to look like and make sure you have reliable and safe transportation to and from the game. Use the buddy system to make sure no one gets left behind.

Just Pick One

If you are planning on drinking or using substances, just pick one. Mixing alcohol and other drugs can put you at increased risk for harmful outcomes. Avoid using alone and have a sober friend with your group if possible. Visit the Mental Health and Wellness website for safer substance use strategies.

Fuel Up

Remember to stay hydrated and eat a hearty meal if you plan on using alcohol or other drugs! Celebrating on an empty stomach can increase the risk of over-intoxication and other harm.

Be a Team Player

On game day, represent the Ravens with pride! Panda can disrupt those living near the stadium and neighbours of those hosting pre/post-game celebrations. Be mindful of noise and your impact on those around you.

Play by the Rules

Ottawa Police and By-Law Services will have an increased presence on game day to ensure celebrations do not impact the wider community. Public intoxication, underage drinking, trespassing and excessive noise could earn you a ticket or fine.

Party Safe Fair

Carleton’s Health Promotion Team, in collaboration with the CU Umbrella Project, would like to invite you to attend the Party Safe Fair on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in the Nideyinàn atrium!

This event will introduce a variety of services available at Carleton and in the community to support your wellness during the Panda Game. The team will share harm reduction strategies and tips to party safe(r).

Attendees will be entered to win prizes, including two fanny packs and two Panda game tickets!
