Special Weather Statement for Ottawa Ended

Environment Canada has ended the special weather statement for Ottawa. There are not any weather warnings in effect at present.

Update #1: Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Ottawa due to the potential for heavy rainfall due to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl on Wednesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 11, 2024.

Hazards: Torrential downpours giving rainfall rates of 20 to 40 mm per hour at times. Localized rainfall totals possibly well in excess of 50 mm.

Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.

The university remains open. Operations will run as scheduled.

Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
