SDG Week Canada 2024 – Virtual Panels

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Week Canada is a national collaboration from Monday, March 4 to Friday, March 8, 2024, featuring workshops, panels, and other interactive programming to increase awareness of and engagement with the 17 SDGs on university and college campuses. Sustainability Carleton will be hosting two virtual panel discussions about the UN SDGs during SDG Week. Visit the Sustainability Carleton website to learn more and register for these events.

Wednesday, March 6, 2024: Teaching and Researching the SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals Innovations
Join Sustainability Carleton for this virtual panel discussion as they explore innovation in the context of teaching and researching the SDGs. You will hear from a distinguished panel with a strong background in teaching and researching sustainability, including: course development, experiential learning, examples of work related to the UN SDGs happening on campus, and innovative work incorporating SDGs in teaching and research.

Friday, March 8, 2024: Alternative Spring Break (ASB): Experiential Learning of the UN SDGs
This virtual session will introduce participants to the Carleton ASB program, with students in February 2024 having travelled across Guatemala to learn about the impact the coffee industry has on climate change and the supply chain. Students will share their experiences and reflect on programs and initiatives to address the SDGs at the community level. This is a great opportunity to learn more about this exciting program and how Carleton students are learning about the SDGs in practice.
