The Life Skills 101 podcast is a series of episodes that will engage, empower and encourage Carleton University students to identify, grow and reflect upon life skill development, through various enriching episodes featuring young Carleton alumni. Alumni share their successes and challenges to support students in building persistence and capacity, and provide a space for skill development and reflection for listeners.
The latest episode has launched for February featuring Jaime Sadgrove, sharing insight on self-identity, authentic allyship and ways to show support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Jaime is a storyteller, community advocate and Carleton alum (B.CoMS ‘20). They have used their degree and lived experience as a non-binary person to improve trans inclusion and safety at Carleton, manage communications and fundraising for Options Bytown Non-Profit Housing and to promote the rights and safety of queer and trans youth in their work with the Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity (CCGSD).
