Update: Fire at National Wildlife Research Centre (NWRC)

Update 2: 10:15 a.m.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, smoke was noticed in the National Wildlife Research Centre (NWRC) and the fire alarm was pulled.

Ottawa Fire Services was on scene but has now left campus. Facilities Management and Planning (FMP) continues to investigate the cause.

Update 1: 9:45 a.m.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, smoke was noticed in the National Wildlife Research Centre (NWRC) and the fire alarm was pulled. Ottawa Fire Services is on site and investigating to determine the source. Smoke was also noticed in the adjoining building, Nesbitt.

Please avoid the area around University Drive and Raven Road to allow Ottawa Fire Services to continue their investigation.
