Severe Thunderstorm Warning Ended – August 10, 2023

Environment Canada has ended the thunderstorm watch and thunderstorm warning.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.

Update 2: 11:48 a.m.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Ottawa area. Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to toonie size hail and heavy rain.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches. Avoid driving through water on roads.

Carleton University is aware of and monitoring the forecasted weather for Thursday, August 10, 2023. We will post relevant updates to the weather page, the Carleton Mobile app, at @MyCarletonU on Twitter and other communications channels as needed.
