Career Services regularly highlights workshops, info sessions and career events to showcase the variety of opportunities that are available to you. Attend these virtual and in-person sessions to gain work-related skills or to discover organizations that may be valuable to you on your career journey.

Discover Technata – Career Fair on Tuesday, March, 28, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Industry Tours on Wednesday, March 19, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Thousands of students help protect, conserve and serve Ontario Parks for the wildlife, the habitats they live in and the millions of people who visit parks each year. Every park requires a team effort to ensure parks become a better place for fantastic opportunities to view wildlife and connect with nature. Come work at Ontario Parks and help make important contributions to the protection of Ontario’s stunning natural environments!

Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering Students: 67’s Hockey x STEM Networking Night – Friday, March 24, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Attention Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science students! Join us to meet and network with Ottawa’s high-tech industry and learn more about the career opportunities available, plus enjoy an Ottawa 67’s hockey game! The Faculty of Science will be sponsoring 35 Science students who are interested in attending this STEM networking and recruitment event and the Faculty of Engineering will be sponsoring 40 tickets for Engineering students who are interested in attending! The first 35 Science students to register will receive a free ticket, as will the first 40 Engineering students. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who do not receive a sponsored ticket, but still want to take advantage of this networking opportunity, can purchase their own ticket for the discounted student rate of $15.

From Campus to Career: Bridging the Gap with Workplace Etiquette – Tuesday, April 4, 2023, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Looking to start your professional journey on the right foot? Join this virtual workshop about workplace etiquette to learn the dos and don’ts of appropriate behaviour and actions in the work environment. At this session, you will discover the importance of etiquette in the workplace and how it can positively impact your career growth, master the art of both verbal and non-verbal language in the work environment, get tips and strategies to negotiate your salary with confidence and much more! Don’t miss this opportunity to set yourself up for success in the professional world.
