Carleton Sexual Assault Support Centre is Hiring Peer Support Volunteers

This news post is more than one year old and has been retained for archive purposes. The information below may no longer be relevant.

The Carleton Sexual Assault Support Centre is looking for Carleton students to join the Peer Support Volunteer team.

Volunteers will still be providing peer support virtually through the Carleton University Sexual Assault Support Centre CHAT, but will also be bringing back some in-person events and support throughout Orientation Week and the month of September.

This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain skills outside of the classroom. You are also able to add the volunteer experience to your resume and Co-Curricular Record.

Volunteers are provided with in-depth training on how to provide client-centered support to students accessing the service, whether they are looking to explore resources on campus, discuss experiences of sexual violence or concerns regarding a current relationship.

Applicants are asked to send a resume and cover letter to Equity and Inclusive Communities by Monday, July 4, 2022.

If you have any questions, please contact Kristina Epifano, Equity Education and Services Coordinator.
