Exams and the Holiday Break

With the term coming to a close, students can be caught off guard by how quickly the academic year goes by. They may feel like many activities are competing for their time. Balancing seasonal plans and preparing for exams can be exhausting. They may have stayed up late consistently to finish assignments or simply did not get enough rest. Encourage your student to
take time to care for themselves and make sure they are eating well, exercising and getting enough sleep.

When Your Student Should Expect Their Final Grades

Your student’s grades for fall term courses (i.e. courses ending in December) will be available on Carleton Central sometime after the completion of their courses. The exact date that their grades will be available depends on how quickly their instructors submit the grades for their courses.

Final grades appear in Carleton Central when approved. Only courses with final grades will appear. If some of your student’s courses are not listed, the final grade for those particular courses may not be available yet.

Please note that if your student has any outstanding fees for the fall term, access to their fall final grades will be withheld until the university receives payment. Once payment is received, the relevant holds will be expired automatically and their final grades will be viewable.

Your student should also review the flexible, compassionate grading options for undergraduate and special students for the fall 2021 term.

Vaccination Attestation

Individuals who plan on coming to campus and/or participating in any in-person Carleton activities must attest to being fully vaccinated prior to their arrival on campus. Your student must upload proof of vaccination to cuScreen in order to attest to their vaccination status.
