This is an all-level yoga class taught from a trauma-sensitive lens, allowing participants choice and agency over their bodies and practice. The first half hour of class will be dedicated to discussing and practicing some somatic tools and techniques and will be followed by an hour asana (physical) yoga class.
Yoga can be extremely beneficial in helping regulate your nervous system, find safety within your body and can contribute to post-traumatic growth. It can also offer a safe container to explore feelings and sensations and can help us connect to a sense of community.
This class is suited for all levels of yogis and will offer variations and chose to best suit everyone’s personal yoga practice.
