Changemaker 2 Program Final Pitch Competition

The Innovation Hub at Carleton University has returned with their second Changemaker Challenge. The goal of the Changemaker program is to provide students with the confidence, tools, and support to explore and communicate top-notch solutions. Students will enter the program with the desire to make an impact and leave motivated about how they can. There are 30 exclusive spots open for students from every faculty on campus, along with an incredible $10,000 prize purse for winners of the Final Pitch Competition.

This Changemaker Challenge will focus on producing community solutions for Ontario, Ottawa or the Carleton University campus through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The program will begin starting on the week of Monday, January 10, 2022, with intermittent and weekly live sessions, virtual modules and templates and optional coaching throughout, and will end with the Final Pitch Competition on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the RBCx Stage in Carleton University at Kanata (CU@Kanata), Carleton University’s innovation space in Kanata.

• Physical workspace in the Innovation Hub at the Nicol Building
• External mentorship from industry and field experts and academics
• Entrepreneurs in residence
• Weekly expert-led workshops hosted by leadership experts, UN employees and local experts

This program is open to all Carleton students. There are no fees or entry requirements.

At the end of the program, students should have their idea finalized for the Final Pitch Competition and have attended 70 per cent of the weekly workshop sessions. Additionally, students should be able to pitch and present their idea confidently to a panel of judges.
