Please be advised that the Carleton Athletics Pool will close for essential maintenance to help ensure the continued safety, quality and operation of the facility. The closure is currently anticipated to begin in December 2026, with completion expected at the end of June 2027. The specific closure date will be communicated once confirmed.
We recognize that this temporary closure may disrupt your regular fitness routine and apologize for any inconvenience.
Faculty, staff and students will continue to have access to Carleton’s other Athletics facilities during the closure. To support continued access to aquatic recreation, Carleton faculty, staff and students will also have complimentary access to Brewer Pool for the duration of the closure during scheduled lane and public swimming, as posted on the City of Ottawa’s website. Brewer Pool is located at 100 Brewer Way, just across Bronson Avenue from the Carleton campus. Access is available by presenting your campus card and is subject to facility capacity.
During the closure, Holiday and March Break camps will proceed without aquatic programming. Summer camps will also proceed as planned, with aquatic programming dependent on the timing of the pool reopening. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.
We appreciate your patience, understanding and continued support as we complete this important work. We remain committed to supporting your fitness and wellness goals throughout the closure and look forward to welcoming you back once the pool is ready to reopen.
Additional information will be communicated as it becomes available. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact ravens@carleton.ca.
