Special Weather Statement: Rain

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for rain in Ottawa for Tues. July 28, 2026.
Local rainfall amounts of 50 to 100 mm are possible today through Wed. July 29, 2026. A low pressure system is expected to stall over the area today. Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected for some areas, leading to rainfall amounts that exceed 50 mm and may approach 100 mm in a few locales. Note that rainfall amounts will vary widely across the area due to the convective nature of this precipitation.
