Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Ottawa for the potential for significant freezing rain on Wed. March 11, 2026.

A prolonged period of freezing rain is possible, including up to 24 hours for some areas. Ice accretion or build up of 10 to 20 mm.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.

The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.

Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
