Applications for fall 2026 participation in the Sprott Social Impact Hub (SSIH) are now open.

If you were unable to attend the recent SSIH information session due to weather disruptions, check out the information below. Winter break is an ideal time to prepare a well-thought out and competitive submission before the Mon. Feb. 23, 2026 deadline.

The Sprott Social Impact Hub is a project-based experiential learning program that pairs Carleton students with nonprofit organizations and international NGOs to deliver real-world consulting work for academic credit.

SSIH Students:

  • Work directly with nonprofit and international NGO partners
  • Contribute to high-impact consulting projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • Develop professional communication, client management, and virtual collaboration skills
  • Present their work to external stakeholders

Most collaboration takes place online, making professional communication and virtual presence essential components of the experience.

Eligibility:

  • Graduate students from any faculty (BUSI 5997)
  • Undergraduate students who will be entering third or fourth year in fall 2026

To support applicants, the SSIH team has created short videos outlining the process and expectations:

The required video introduction allows the SSIH team to understand how you communicate, connect and present yourself professionally in a virtual environment.

Applications close on Mon. Feb. 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
