Special weather statement for Ottawa: reduced visibility in heavy snow today. View weather updates

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Ottawa for a period of heavy snow late morning or early afternoon on Tues. Feb. 10, 2026.

A period of heavy snow is expected today, with snowfall amounts of seven to 12 cm. Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow is anticipated. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. There may be an impact on rush hour traffic.

The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.
