Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Ottawa for rain, gusty winds and icy conditions on December 19, 2025.
A strong cold front will move through the area today. Winds will become westerly and strengthen as the front passes. Rain will change to flurries as temperatures rapidly fall below the freezing mark behind the front. Travel may become difficult at times. Local utility outages are possible.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.
The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.
Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
