The Carleton University Umbrella project has partnered with Respect RX Pharmacy to offer an Opioid Awareness and Substance Use Stigma Seminar in which participants will learn:
- Overview of the opioid crisis
- Effects of opioids and how to recognize signs of an overdose
- Information about Narcan (nasal naloxone) and how it can be used to temporarily reverse an overdose
- How stigma around substance use and mental health is a barrier to care can how to be an ally
