Sept. 30, 2026, with Elder Louella Tobias.</p>
<p>The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is observed annually to commemorate the tragic legacy of Canada&#8217;s Residential school system. It honours Indigenous survivors, their families and the children who never returned home.</p>
