DESCRIPTION:<p>All Carleton students and grads are encouraged to attend the Winter Career &amp; Networking Fair coming up on Wednesday, February 4, 2026!</p>
<p>Whether you’re in your first year, graduating or alumni, the Career &amp; Networking Fair is your chance to practice networking, learn about employers and explore opportunities.</p>
<h3>Why attend?</h3>
<ul>
<li>Practice builds confidence: Networking is a skill, and like any skill, it takes practice. The Career &amp; Networking Fair is a professional-yet-approachable environment to start conversations, ask questions, and build confidence.</li>
<li>Explore opportunities: Learn about full-time, part-time, co-op, summer and future roles. Even if you’re not job hunting now or an employer you’re interested in isn’t hiring at the moment, understanding what’s out there helps you plan ahead.</li>
<li>Gain insight: Discover what different organizations do, what they value in candidates and how you might fit in now or in the future. By chatting with a range of employers you can also identify valuable hiring trends.</li>
<li>Grow your network: Make connections that could lead to mentorship, advice or future opportunities. Every conversation is a step forward.</li>
<li>Convenient: Meet a wide range of employers that you would not normally have a chance to speak with, all without leaving campus. Drop in between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. as it fits your schedule (last check-in time is 2:45 p.m.).</li>
</ul>
<p>Many employers will encourage students to apply to employment opportunities through the mySuccess job board or their organizations’ job portals. At the Career &amp; Networking Fair, you can drop by the Resume Review Station for a short on-the-spot resume check-up to make sure you’re submitting a strong application. You are encouraged to have a paper or digital copy on hand for the review.</p>
