The MacOdrum Library is excited to welcome caregivers and their children to the new Family Room, which opened Mon. Aug. 31, 2026.

This room is a dedicated space for students, faculty and staff who are caring for children while studying in the library.

The Family Room is located next to the Book Arts Lab in ML 234H, and features:

  • Workspaces for adults
  • Books, toys and activities for children
  • A private nursing/feeding area
  • Child-friendly decor and furniture

The Family Room was made possible through a generous donation focused on improving accessibility.
