Nominations are open for undergraduate students to serve on Senate or a Senate Standing Committee for the 2026-2027 academic year. The term of service is one year and ends on Wed. June 30, 2027.

Currently there are vacancies on Senate for students from Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Faculty of Engineering and Design (FED), Faculty of Science and the Sprott School of Business. Students applying for these positions must have previous academic governance experience at Carleton, at the department or faculty level.

There are also seven vacancies for undergraduate students to serve on various Senate committees. For Senate committees, no previous governance experience is required, but students must have completed at least 4.0 credits prior to service.
