Environment Canada has ended the yellow warning for rainfall for Ottawa. At present, no weather alerts are in effect.

Environment Canada has ended the special weather statement for rain. The yellow warning for rainfall for Ottawa remains in effect for heavy rainfall expected late Wed. April 29 into the morning of Thurs. April 30, 2026.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement and a yellow warning for rainfall for Ottawa for heavy rainfall expected beginning late Wed. April 29 into the morning of Thurs. April 30, 2026.

Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are expected. The ground, already near saturation, has a limited capacity to absorb this rainfall. Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Don’t drive through flooded roadways. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.
