Veeva Systems Recruitment Info/Networking Session and Booth Display – Tues. March 10, 2026, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Minto Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering, Room 5050)
This event is open to 2026 graduating students, recent grads and current students in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Computer Systems or equivalent. Join this info and networking session to learn how you can jumpstart your software engineering career! Veeva Systems is a leader in cloud-based software for the global life sciences industry. They have over 1,500 customers and 7,500 employees globally. They are headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with a Canadian office located in downtown Toronto. One of Veeva’s unique offerings is the Engineering Development Program (EDP) which has helped build the careers of over a thousand software engineers entering the industry. EDP is currently recruiting intern and new grad Associate Software Engineers. This session will include a brief presentation about Veeva and EDP, a Q&A and time to network with current employees in the program. Veeva Systems will also have a booth in the Engineering Design Centre main floor atrium from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. before the info session. Algonquin College Geographic Information Systems Graduate Certificate Program Information Booth – Wed. March 11, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Nideyinàn, Galleria)
Interested in learning about the Geographic Information Systems Graduate Certificate Program at Algonquin College? Stop by their information booth to speak to a representative from Algonquin College. The one-year Geographic Information Systems Ontario College Graduate Certificate program provides you with knowledge and skills relating to geographic and cartographic science, with a focus on information systems technology. A key part of this program is the independent project that you begin in your first semester and complete throughout your studies. You identify an area of interest, develop a project proposal and then implement and complete your project, all in collaboration with an industry or government sponsor. The use of GIS in various business environments is growing. Graduates may find work in utility/resource management companies, survey/engineering/environmental companies, software companies and government agencies. Graduates may also seek employment in jobs where GIS is a tool used within the discipline of their previous degree.
YMCA Career Opportunities Information Session – Wed. March 18, 2026, noon to 1:00 p.m. (Southam Hall, Room 317)
All students are invited to join the YMCA National Capital Region for their recruitment information session that will feature a presentation followed by a Q&A. The presentation will highlight the general positions they hire for, specifically focusing on Early Childhood Educator (ECE) roles, Supply Educators (Casual), Summer Camp positions and Renovation & Green Construction Trades Training pathways that include Program Management opportunities for internationally trained professionals (including those with engineering backgrounds).
