All Carleton students and grads are encouraged to attend the Winter Career & Networking Fair!
Whether you’re in your first year, graduating or alumni, the Career & Networking Fair is your chance to practice networking, learn about more than 40 employers and explore opportunities.
Why attend?
- Practice builds confidence: Networking is a skill, and like any skill, it takes practice. The Career & Networking Fair is a professional yet approachable environment to start conversations, ask questions and build confidence.
- Explore opportunities: Learn about full-time, part-time, co-op, summer and future roles. Even if you’re not job hunting now or an employer you’re interested in isn’t hiring at the moment, understanding what’s out there helps you plan ahead.
- Gain insight: Discover what different organizations do, what they value in candidates and how you might fit in now or in the future. By chatting with a range of employers, you can also identify valuable hiring trends.
- Grow your network: Make connections that could lead to mentorship, advice or future opportunities. Every conversation is a step forward.
- Convenient: Meet a wide range of employers that you may not normally have a chance to speak with, all without leaving campus. Drop in between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. as it fits your schedule (last check-in time is 2:45 p.m.).
Many employers will encourage students to apply to employment opportunities through the mySuccess job board or their organizations’ job portals. At the Career & Networking Fair, you can drop by the Resume Review Station for a short on-the-spot resume check-up to make sure you are submitting a strong application. Please have a paper or digital copy on hand for the review.
In advance of the Career & Networking Fair, students are encouraged to attend the Prepare for the Fair events to increase their confidence and success at the fair. Sessions include Resume Workshop (Tuesday, January 20, 2026), Optimizing Your Networking Strategies and LinkedIn Profile (Tuesday, January 27, 2026), Resume Pop-up (Wednesday, January 28, 2026) and Preparing for Interviews (Thursday, January 29, 2026).
