Calling third- and fourth-year students in the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Public and Global Affairs (FPGA), and Science: Secure your spot in the Winter Job Shadow Program!
Through the Job Shadow Program, you will score a one-time meeting with a professional in your field of interest to learn about career paths, gain insights about how to get into the field and get advice about how to be successful in your future career. Meetings can be held in person or virtually and are 60-90 minutes.
Some of the mentors signed up for winter include a Genetic Counsellor (CHEO), Natural Systems Planner (City of Ottawa), Research Scientist (Canadian Food Inspection Agency), Senior Communications Specialist (North York General Hospital), Employment and Litigation Lawyer (Spring Law), Manager, Integrated Policy and Cabinet Affairs (Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada) and more. Visit the Job Shadow website for full details and instructions to apply.
The deadline to apply is Friday, January 30, 2026.
