Freezing Rain Warning for Ottawa on Saturday

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Ottawa for freezing rain with ice accretion of 2 to 5 mm the afternoon and evening of Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm are expected beginning Sunday morning and continuing into Sunday night.

Rain showers will affect most of southern Ontario on Saturday, however areas near and along the Ottawa River valley will see surface temperatures linger near or below the freezing mark, leading to freezing rain. Icy surfaces could be difficult to detect. There is risk of injury due to slips and falls. Be very careful if walking or driving.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students weather page for updates.

The university remains open and operations are running as scheduled.

Please exercise caution when traveling to and commuting on campus.
