The From Intention to Action (FITA) program has moved! They are now located at 810 Dunton Tower.
Often students feel overwhelmed and aren’t sure where to go. The most common ways the FITA team can help are supportive counselling, stress management, coping skills, time management and learning strategies. The FITA program supports undergraduate and graduate students in the often stressful university experience. They can help students to better manage stress and improve their academic performance by navigating the personal stressors that can often get in the way of school.
FITA students meet one-on-one with a coordinator for one hour every week for either five or 10 consecutive weeks. Coordinators are staff members or master’s-level interns trained in counselling and psychotherapy.
Students must be considered full-time in order to be eligible for the FITA program.
Students can schedule an intake interview through Carleton’s Health and Counselling Services.
