Carleton is pleased to introduce the Global Opportunities and International Student Services Office (GO-ISSO), formerly the International Student Services Office! With the new office name, GO-ISSO continues to foster a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment for international students while promoting cross-cultural engagement and global learning opportunities for all students at Carleton University.
GO-ISSO’s mission is to empower students by providing resources, guidance and opportunities that enhance your academic, personal and professional experiences, both on campus and globally.
Through engaging and collaborative programs and services, GO-ISSO supports students in navigating their educational journey while preparing them for success in a rapidly changing and interconnected world.
Whether you’re joining Carleton for the first time or returning to campus, GO-ISSO looks forward to supporting you throughout your student journey. The team is committed to your success, offering a wide range of services to help you thrive. From robust transition and engagement support for international students—including immigration advising and University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) administration—to global learning opportunities through incoming and outgoing exchange programs and the International Internship Program, the GO-ISSO team is here to guide and empower you every step of the way.
The GO-ISSO office is now located on the fourth floor of MacOdrum Library.
