What to Know About the Career Services Job Board

The Career Services Job Board on mySuccess (accessed via Carleton360 from the Current Students website) is exclusive to the Carleton community and offers an array of job opportunities including full-time, part-time, new grad, co-op and more. The Job Board is a valuable tool that you can use to gain work experience and begin your career journey. Here are a few things to know about the Career Services Job Board:

  • New jobs are added throughout the year and you can find employers on the Job Board that are hiring multiple people for positions, giving you a better chance of success. Jobs posted on the Job Board are often targeted to Carleton students, which can improve your candidacy. Use the quick search function and select the “Featured Postings” section to see Featured Jobs that employers are highlighting to Carleton students.
  • There are built-in search functions that enable you to narrow down your job search even further. This includes tools such as the “Filter by Program” function or quick searches like “Application Deadlines Today” and “Summer and Part-Time in Eastern Ontario” to view specific types of jobs. There is also an option to conduct an advanced search to filter for jobs that meet your specific requirements and interests.
  • Even if you aren’t looking for a job right now, it’s smart to keep an eye on these postings to see what jobs appeal to you. This way you can take note of what skills and education the job requires, and anything else the organization is looking for with that type of role. This allows you to plan ahead and be ready to apply when jobs get posted.
