The federal election is on Monday, April 28, 2025. To vote in the federal election, you must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old on election day. Voting is an easy three step process: register, bring your ID and vote.
There are five ways you can vote if you are living at the address you consider to be home:
- at your local polling place on election day,
- on one of four advance voting days,
- on campus during the Vote on Campus days,
- at any local Elections Canada office,
- or by mail.
If you are living away from the address you consider home, you have four options to vote:
- on campus during the Vote on Campus days,
- at any local Elections Canada office,
- by mail,
- or travel to the riding associated with your home address.
Vote on Campus
Special voting stations will be available at Carleton in the fourth floor Nideyinàn Galleria:
- Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Monday, April 14, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
All you need to do is bring ID to vote. You will vote for a candidate in the riding where your place of ordinary residence is located.

Advance Polls
Advance polls are open for four days, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Friday, April 18
- Saturday, April 19
- Sunday, April 20
- Monday, April 21
