I-Start International Orientation

I-Start Orientation is a free, online mini-course designed for new international students studying at Carleton University. Through this course, you will learn the information needed to help you transition to student life at Carleton and in Canada. This orientation has been designed to meet the needs of all international students, including undergraduate, graduate and study abroad students.

Topics include: International Students Services Office (ISSO) services, the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP), immigration advising, student life in Canada, navigating Ottawa and much more!
