The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) IT Branch is looking to hire students and new graduates! This session is targeted to those who are interested in a career in technology and are studying computer science, information technology, business, information management, math and statistics. Students with disabilities and Indigenous students are encouraged to attend. Attend this session to learn about the co-op, internship and new grad opportunities available, as well as the recruitment process and how to apply. LinkedIn is a powerful tool you can use to identify and amplify your brand, make connections in your field, search for jobs and more! Join Career Services at this virtual workshop where you will discover how to make a stand-out professional profile and cultivate your online network. This session includes tips on selecting a profile photo, writing a catchy headline and “About” summary, conducting a customized job search and more.
Fall Career & Networking Fair – Wednesday, October 9, 2024, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
More than 65 employers from tech, government, education, construction, engineering, accounting, retail, charity and other industries will be on site to meet and network with students and alumni from a range of programs. Establish and grow your professional network by making contacts for the future and explore full-time, part-time, co-op and future employment opportunities.
October 15, 2024 – Deadline to Apply to the Fall Job Shadow Program (FASS and FPGA)
The Job Shadow Program is a unique opportunity for career exploration that allows you to learn about careers of interest to you by visiting a professional (a job shadow mentor) at their job for a 60 to 90 minute session. The Job Shadow Program is offered either virtually or in person based on a mutual agreement between mentor and student. Job shadowing will help you make connections between classroom learning and real-world work requirements, and gain a better understanding of the knowledge, skills and education you may need to follow your career interests. The Fall Job Shadow Program is open to third and fourth year students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty Global and Public Affairs.
