To all members of the Carleton community,
I am thrilled to announce that Angela Marcotte will take on the role of Interim Vice-President (Finance and Administration), effective Sept. 1, 2024.
For the past two and a half years as Assistant Vice-President (Financial Services), Angela has overseen six units which represent a variety of services and functions critical to the successful financial management and operations of the university.
Angela joined Carleton University in 1994, starting as a Finance Officer. In 1996, she became the Manager of Financial Accounting and Reporting before being named University Controller in 2003.
Prior to Carleton, Angela was a Senior Accountant with KPMG. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Angela takes over from Lorraine Dyke, who will be leaving the position effective Aug. 31, 2024. Lorraine will be taking an extended leave before returning to her faculty position with the Sprott School of Business.
Please join me in thanking Lorraine for her many contributions to Carleton and congratulating Angela as she begins her new role.
Sincerely,
Jerry Tomberlin
