As the end of the winter term approaches and the exam period draws near, there are many resources available to help you academically and beyond.

As a reminder, the final exam period will take place from Saturday, April 15, 2023 to Thursday, April 27, 2023. Examinations are normally held all seven days of the week.

Wellness Resources

Supporting your mental health and well-being is key as you navigate the end of term. If you are in need of mental health support, Carleton’s Wellness Services offers counselling appointments. To book an appointment, please call 613-520-6674. If you live in residence, call 613-520-2600 ext. 8061.

Carleton offers a variety of specialized counsellors: Indigenous, sexual assault and trauma, racialized, trans/2SLGBQ+, international and graduate. Students who wish to connect with a specific counsellor can make a request when booking an appointment or explore options at their intake session.

If you are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed, there is always someone you can talk to. Carleton University undergraduate students have access to free, confidential, 24/7 counselling services in the community through Empower Me. Empower Me connects you with qualified counsellors, consultants and life coaches at their private practice in the community 24/7, 365 days per year for free.

The Wellness website and the Resources webpage are your guide to support services and wellness resources to help you prioritize your mental health and find the help you need. You can access the Wellness Services Navigator to be matched with resources on campus and in the community catered to your specific needs.

Carleton offers the International SOS’s Emotional Support service to help international students support their mental, emotional and physical well-being. Emotional Support offers 24/7 access to counselling services in more than 60 languages.

If you are concerned about your relationship with substance use during this challenging period, or are worried about someone close to you, know that you are not alone and that there are many resources available to you. The Substance Use Health and Harm Reduction webpage has information on Carleton-specific and community resources for persons who use substances, persons questioning their substance use and persons with substance use disorder.

Academic Support from CSAS

The Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) offers a variety of services to help support you in your studies throughout the end of term.

To work on finding strategies that can help you prioritize and plan out all of your end of term academic tasks, book a one-on-one Learning Support Session.

To work through any writing-related challenges you may be experiencing with your assignments, book a one-on-one Writing Consultation Session. Please note that in order to avoid Academic Integrity violations, questions about exams, including take-home exams, should be directed to your professor or teaching assistant.

Put your knowledge to the test by attending a Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) mock final exam review session. Visit the PASS website to see if your course has a mock final and view the schedule.
