Update #2: Flood in Steacie Building

Update #2: Sunday, November 13 at 3:30 p.m.

Richcraft Hall and the Steacie Building continue to be impacted by the flooding that occurred on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Both buildings will be open on Monday, November 14, 2022. Regular operations, including classes and labs, will resume as normal.

Facilities Management and Planning (FMP) has begun the drying and restoration process in the areas affected. The restoration process will continue in the days and weeks to come.

We ask for your cooperation when navigating the buildings so as to not disturb any of the equipment.

Should you find any standing water or have safety concerns, please contact the FMP Service Centre 613-520-3668.

Update #1: Friday, November 11, 2022 at 9:55 a.m.

Early this morning, there was a flood on the top floor in the Steacie Building. Crews are on site investigating, but due to the extent of the flooding on multiple floors, the building is closed until Monday, November 14, 2022.

Instructors and students with classes and labs in the building today have been notified about room changes or cancellations as appropriate.

A further update will be provided by Sunday, November 13, 2022.
