Carleton University is aware of and monitoring the forecasted weather for Thursday, July 28, 2022. We will post relevant updates to students.carleton.ca/weather, the Carleton Mobile app, at @MyCarletonU on Twitter and other communications channels as needed.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Ottawa area. Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. The main threats with this storm will be strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h and hail up to nickel size.
The university remains open today. Operations will run as scheduled.
