Carleton University is aware of and monitoring the forecasted weather for Wednesday, June 22, 2022. We will post relevant updates to students.carleton.ca/weather, the Carleton Mobile app, at @Carleton_U on Twitter and other communications channels as needed.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Ottawa area. Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and early this evening. These storms are capable of producing strong wind gusts of 80 km/h, hail size up to 2 cm and heavy rain.
The university remains open today. Operations will run as scheduled. Convocation ceremonies are proceeding as planned.
