Summer Career Services Workshops

Career Services is hosting a series of virtual career workshops from June 2 to 16, 2021!

If you’re still seeking summer employment and looking for opportunities to continue developing your skills, or you’ve recently graduated and need some guidance exploring all of your options and figuring out what you want to do next, check out these upcoming career workshops:

Next Steps for New Grads will cover:

  • Why it is normal to feel mixed emotions as you approach the end of your last semester
  • Examples of next steps new grads typically take and explore some options that might be a good fit for you
  • Services and supports at Career Services that are available to help you (even after you graduate!)

Career Growth Mindset will cover:

  • Tangible actions you can take now to navigate and grow your career right now
  • How to develop flexible career plans

Developing Employability Skills will cover:

  • Different skills you can work on and develop at home
  • How to track your skill development

Job Search and Networking during COVID-19 will cover:

  • How to utilize LinkedIn
  • Why you should be doing more Informational Interviews
  • How Placement Agencies work

Preparing for Virtual Interviews Tips will cover:

  • How to prepare for and make a lasting impression in a virtual interview
  • Which skills you should highlight when interviewing for a remote position

You can choose to attend one or all of these events: Next Steps for New Grads on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1 p.m., Career Growth Mindset on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., Developing Employability Skills on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., Job Search and Networking during COVID-19 on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. and Preparing for Virtual Interviews on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Each event will take place online at the scheduled date and time via Zoom.
