Work crews have restored the water service to all campus buildings with the exception of Southam Hall.
Southam Hall remains on emergency power only, and is closed until further notice.
Facilities Management and Planning continues to work to resolve the issue and further updates will be provided as restoration work continues.
Update #1: Friday, May 21, 2021 at 7:23 a.m.
Late yesterday there was a large flood in the lower levels of Southam Hall. Crews responded quickly, working through the night to resolve the problem. However, due to the flooding, normal power has been shut off to Southam Hall. Emergency power is running in the building.
Additionally, water service has been shut off to HCI, Loeb, MacOdrum Library, Southam Hall and VSIM.
As a result, the following buildings be closed today, Friday, May 21:
- MacOdrum Library
- Southam Hall
Facilities Management and Planning continue to work to resolve the issue and further updates will be provided as restoration work continues.
