Please be advised that as online exams begin as scheduled this weekend a special weather statement is in effect for Ottawa North – Kanata – Orléans and Ottawa South – Richmond – Metcalfe.
As of 4:45 a.m. EST Friday, December 11, 2020, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement. An approaching system will bring a transition zone of precipitation with it from roughly the Dundalk Highlands east to Ottawa and eastern Ontario. Along this zone, several hours of freezing rain may be possible, favouring ice build up on untreated surfaces and power lines. Precipitation will likely include a mix of rain, snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain. Snowfall accumulations are generally anticipated to be limited to 5 cm or less.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to monitor the Current Students special weather page for updates.
