Following last night’s snowfall, the Facilities Management and Planning team wants to inform the campus community that there is a snow removal plan in place.
FMP’s priority for snow removal is to keep the main streets on campus clear and to be as responsive to weather conditions as possible. The major pathways on campus will also be cleared and pedestrians are asked to use sidewalks along the streets for their safety.
Please be aware that the tunnels are closed except to authorized personnel.
Environment Canada is encouraging motorists to exercise caution when driving this morning due to the accumulation of snow.
Remember – A quick change in temperature can result in freeze thaw cycles with resulting icy patches, and that slips, trips and falls can occur anywhere.
You can decrease your risk by taking the following steps:
- Stick to the designated pathways. Avoid roped-off areas as this has been done for your safety.
- Report slippery conditions or any other hazard to the FMP Service Centre at ext. 3668 or email@example.com.
